Recently, the Plant Immunity Center of Haixia Institute of Science and Technology of FAFU published a research paper titled “CALCIUM-DEPENDENT PROTEIN KINASE5 associates with the truncated NLR protein TIR-NBS2 to contribute to exo70B1-mediated immunity” in the internationally renowned journal of botany of 《Plant Cell》.
The lecturer Liu Na of the Plant Immunity Center was the first author and professor Tang Dingzhong was the corresponding author of the paper. The Plant Immunity Center was the signature unit of both the first and corresponding authors. Wang Wei, Zhao Ting, Katharina Hake and Tina Romeis participated in the research works. The research achievement was funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and Special Fund for Strategic Pilot Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences and so on.
The research integrated the methods of genetics, biochemistry and cell biology to reveal the relationships between Calcium-dependent protein kinases CDPK5, exocyst complex subunit EXO70B1 and Toll/interleukin-1 receptor-nucleotide-binding sequence protein TN2, and the roles they played in plant immunization.
